Experiment 626, more commonly known as Stitch, is an alien created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba in Disney's Lilo & Stitch. He was designed to be destructive, with super strength, speed, and intelligence.
Originally, Stitch was a dangerous genetic experiment deemed too dangerous to exist by the Galactic Federation. He was sentenced to exile but escaped and crash-landed on Earth, specifically on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi.
The "prison shirt" Stitch refers to the outfit he wore while incarcerated by the Galactic Federation. It's a simple orange jumpsuit, symbolizing his status as a dangerous prisoner. He doesn't wear it much after escaping.
